Great Britain in Bristol is one of six projects at heritage sites in south west England to be commissioned by REACT.
REACT is one of four knowledge exchange hubs for the creative economy and is investing more than £300,000 in the first run of funding under the Heritage Sandbox programme.
Each of the projects aim to deliver a new means of experiencing heritage attractions through social interaction, which are enabled by "pervasive" media and immersive digital technologies.
Other successful projects include a multi-sensory exploration of Bath's Sydney Gardens, a former Victorian pleasure garden, and a mobile-based discovery of Bristol's Old Vic.
