Five star destination keeps on growing

November 2014

The countdown is on as Loch Lomond Shores get ready to unveil a series of new developments which are sure to have even more shoppers and day trippers flocking to the loch-side.

October saw a new purpose built pirate themed soft play zone and cafe, Lomond Pirates, open on the panoramic upper level of the shopping mall, catering for kids’ birthday parties and families throughout the year looking for a relaxed atmosphere and fresh home-baking.

This new family-focused attraction, with its homely kitchen cafe and pirate ball pool, now means the shopping mall is 100% let and is just the start of exciting new plans to enhance the experience for visitors.

A brand new Marston’s Inn, which will provide great value hotel accommodation, is in the process of being built at the entrance to the Loch Lomond Shores site and will be opening in early 2015, and the construction of a high line adventure ropes course, just behind the Gateway Centre, will get underway in November. Recent developments, including the recently opened Wee Heilan Man adventure golf course, Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre, new pontoon offering loch cruises by Sweeney’s Cruises and brand new activities from Can You Experience, have already led to a series of top rated and excellent visitor reviews.

The Gateway Centre, which is currently closed temporarily as it undergoes a sleek and customer- focused revamp, is also set to provide a brand new visitor experience when it reopens.

Clare Gemmell, General Manager at Loch Lomond Shores said: “We could not be more thrilled at the various developments taking place across the site which will undoubtedly add even more to our reputation as a five star attraction. We take visitor comments and feedback seriously and I believe that the developments we are making show our commitment to our customers and will make for an even better day trip and shopping experience for all.”
