Welcome to the April 2024 edition of the ASVA E-Zine asva.co.uk   [email protected]   07458 306982 Get into the Spirit of Speyside at The Scotch Whisky Experience August 2014 This summer, visitors to The Scotch Whisky Experience can get into 'The Spirit of Speyside' in Edinburgh with an exhibition of stunning images from the region's annual photography competition. Held during the first long weekend in May, The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival invites visitors to celebrate Scotland's national drink through an inventive and wide-ranging programme of whisky-inspired events. Each year the festival also holds a photography competition to show off the beauty of the region and provides a platform for photographers to expose their work to thousands of people at the festival and through the online viewing gallery. The competition, sponsored by Benromach, draws entries from around the world and has three main categories: abstract, seasons and people. This year's overall winner was a striking image of Duffus Castle showing the historic property on a frosty winter morning, taken by John Macgregor from Lossiemouth. The touring exhibition of the finalists' photographs displays 17 of the more than 140 images entered into this year's competition and will be at The Scotch Whisky Experience until 30th September.
